Delete your Koloi account

You can permanently delete your Koloi account and personal data at any time, directly from the app. This page explains how, and exactly what is removed and what we are required to keep.

How to request deletion

The fastest way is from inside the Koloi app:

  1. Open the Koloi app and sign in
    Use the account you'd like to delete.
  2. Open the Profile tab
    It's the last tab in the bottom bar. Scroll down to the Account section.
  3. Tap “Delete account”
    You'll be asked to confirm your identity, then to type “delete” to confirm. Your account is scheduled for deletion straight away.

Prefer not to use the app? Email us at support@koloi.app from the address on your account and we'll process the request for you.

Business accounts: if you own a business listed on Koloi, in-app deletion isn't available — a business listing has bookings and obligations attached to it. Email support@koloi.app from the address on your account and we'll handle it for you.

⏳ 30-day grace period

After you request deletion, your account is deactivated and held for 30 days, then permanently erased shortly after the 30 days are up. If you change your mind, just sign back in during that time — you'll land on a screen with a Cancel deletion button that restores your account in one tap. Once the deletion has actually run it cannot be undone.

What gets deleted

  • ✓Your profile & identity — name, email, phone number, and login credentials.
  • ✓Your vehicles — saved cars, rego details, and reminders.
  • ✓Service & maintenance history — logs, receipts, and uploaded photos.
  • ✓Messages & chat attachments — your conversations and any images or files you shared.
  • ✓Saved preferences — favourites, points, streaks, and notification settings.

What we're required to keep

By law and for the protection of businesses you've transacted with, a limited amount of data is retained — but it is anonymised so it can no longer be linked back to you.

Anonymised & retained Kept up to 7 years
  • •Booking records — service centres are legally required to retain transaction records for up to 7 years. Your bookings are anonymised: your name, vehicle and personal details are removed or redacted, and any review comment is scrubbed. If you left a star rating it stays on the business's score, but with nothing linking it to you. The booking can no longer be traced to you.
  • •Aggregated, non-identifying data — anonymous statistics that contain no personal information.

Any bookings that are still open at the time of deletion are automatically cancelled. Once the 7-year retention period lapses, these records are permanently purged.

Delete only some of your data

You don't have to delete your whole account to remove individual items. Within the app you can delete individual vehicles, service logs, and history entries at any time, while keeping your account active.

One exception: records that came with a vehicle you bought, or that were frozen when you sold one, are locked and can't be deleted individually — they belong to that vehicle's history rather than to your account. Deleting your account still removes your copy of them.
